Button-Controlled Ring:bit Robo Car

Students built and programmed a Ring:bit Robo Car using the BBC micro:bit. The car’s movements are controlled using the micro:bit’s built-in Buttons A and B. This hands-on project introduces students to motor control, button inputs, event-based coding and robotics.

Automatic Windscreen Wiper

Students built a working windscreen-wiper model using LEGO components and a servo motor controlled by the BBC micro:bit. They programmed the servo to move the wiper repeatedly from side to side, just like a real car’s windscreen wiper. This hands-on project develops coding, construction and mechanical-design skills.

Smart Traffic Light System

Students created and programmed a working traffic light system using red, amber and green LEDs. The lights change automatically in the correct sequence using carefully timed instructions. This project introduces electronic circuits, sequencing, timing and output control while demonstrating how real traffic lights operate.

Automatic NeoPixel Night Lamp

Students created a smart night lamp using white NeoPixel LED lights and a light sensor. The lamp automatically turns on when the room becomes dark and switches off when it detects sunlight. This practical project introduces students to sensors, automation, conditional coding and energy-saving smart-lighting technology.
